Basic OSH for Workers
Introduction
This 2-days course is designed for Management, safety committee members or employees to have a good understanding on the Occupational Safety and Health requirements at their workplace. Participants will understand the important of Safety values and how to perform their duties at the workplace effectively.
Course Objectives
The objective of the program is to equip the participants with the basic concepts of hazards identification and risks assessments at the workplace and to take proactive actions through creating safety awareness among employer and employees at working place. Participants will take part in a ‘live’ safety presentation of finding and group discussion. At the end of the course participants will have a good understanding and values of Safety in daily business.
By the end of this course, you will be able to understand and apply:
- A review of the OSH Act 1994.
- Hazards, Risk assessment and control at the workplace
- Safety and Health Committee
- Safe systems of work
- OSH Orientation
Methodology
The emphasis throughout is on detailed presentations followed by group work and interactive discussions.
