Corporate Malay Language
Introduction
Conversing in basic BM at the workplace is a critical component for most companies today especially during operational processes. This workshop will be a glimpse into Malaysian culture through fundamental Malay language – learn the basics of speaking, listening, reading, and writing in the Malay language and be introduced to Malaysian culture.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Understand and express appropriately in BM in a basic context
- Improve pronunciation and intonation in their speech
- Build a threshold vocabulary to be able to express the message effectively
- Improve and enhanced BM language in verbal, listening and writing skills
- Build their confidence while using the language
- Develop the ability to initiate basic social interaction, receive and give instructions clearly
Methodology
- Short Theories to reinforce the basics
- Liberal use of discussions to enhance understanding and confidence
- Individual and group exercises that are workplace oriented
- Video presentations
- Extensive use of training activities including exercises, quizzes, role-plays, and games that stimulate learning and participation
- A workbook provided for the workshop and utilised throughout the 2 days
Who Should Attend?
Foreign and local staff with minimum competency of the BM language, to equip them with instant and basic capability in speaking, understanding, receiving, and holding daily conversations.
